Background:
The Safe Schools Program by Sensory Ventures, LLC is directed by Steve Cox. Steve has served several years on the advisory board for the
Indiana Safe School Academy. As the current principal of Beech Grove High School, Steve has implemented innovative programs which have modeled the way for
other K-12 institutions.
Born in 2006, the Safe Schools Program is a direct result of need. Cox says, "We looked at traditional
methods of notification but most of them seemed too expensive, too slow or too much work." That's when discussions with Sensory Ventures, a Purdue
Research Park Company began. Cox adds, "The DocuChannel platform is perfect for quickly getting information to people that need it the most."
